Hey everybody. We made it to Guangzhou. This place is really cool. We're at the White Swan Hotel on Shamian Island, which is on the Pearl River. It's beautiful here. We're really close to Hong Kong.It has been a long day getting here. We're all tired again, so we went to our room and have been resting since we arrived. An Zhen did great on the flight today. We were worried that she would get upset, not being able to move around, but she was fine. She is usually on the move all the time. Thanks for your prayers.
Tommorow we will be doing things on the island and we may go on a tour of a famous Buddhist Temple. A little Crosswind face 2 face excersion, if you get my drift.
Monday, An Zhen has her medical exam, which is a requirement for the adoption. Later we do work on her Visa application, so that we can bring her home.
Also, i just wanted to talk a little about An Zhen. We get to know her a little better each day and she get's to know us a little better too. As you know relationships take time. She has had a hard time with the seperation from her foster mom. She has been confused and we can tell she has been missing her. Our relationship with her is growing into a beautiful thing. We can see that she is beginning to trust us and that makes us so happy. She is such a special person. We've been telling her about everyone and how much all of you love her. She is such a loving person and she shares very well. Rozanne and i have joked about her already being a Crosswinder at heart.
She's beginning to understand a little English. i told her to take a bite of her bread stick and she showed me that she already had one.
It's bedtime, so mommy is getting her ready.

So glad to hear she is figuring out what we all already knew, that you guys are great and incredibly trustworthy. We will continue to pray for a speedy relational bond for you guys. We miss you all, and cant wait to have y'all back home. Nicole and I had a great dinner with Chad and Allison last night, and luckily we're sitting around talking when you all called. We even got to hear An Zhen say a few words over the phone. Amazing!! A great night indeed!!!!! It was good to hear her voice.
ReplyDeleteI can't express how it made us feel to hear her sweet little voice. We all just sat there in awe. We had a GREAT night. And I was on cloud nine when I heard her say Jie Jie. Please tell her Wa I Ne. We ALL miss you so much.

Wow! She is so gorgeous. I know you guys are WORN OUT! We will be at the airport Thursday night. I hope you know if you are too tired to drive back, you can sleep at my house. I have no idea what kind of schedule your brains will be on. I guess you will lose 13 hours? Anyway--we will be prepared for you to stay if you want. Five more days!
