She is coming around here. i can't believe we've got her. She has got my heart turning flips. She is so precious. Words cannot describe what i'm feeling right now. She loves her mommy and will not let her out of her sight. She loves daddy, but he is more like a toy that she likes to play with only if mommy is close by.
More paperwork tomorrow morning and then shopping at the Lotus Center (like Wal-Mart) in the afternoon. i'll send more pictures soon. Please continue to pray as i try to make the transition from toy to the love of her life.

ReplyDeleteDads and daughters is an acquired bond. Be patient...she will come around. I would guess that she hasnt had a father/male figure in her life up to now. She has just been hanging with the ladies. It took a little time for Merrell and I to stick early on. I expect she will have you wrapped around her little finger in no time. Just wait till she meets Jax...she will be in Disney Land with her new play mate.

This must be what it's like to be living a dream! I am so very happy for you! I never doubted for a second that An Zhen would have any difficulty bonding with Rozanne ... you have always had such a special way with children! And Clifton, you're probably already the love of her life as I am writing these words ... it seems only natural that it takes a little longer for male bond to form, but there's nothing stronger when it does take hold! ReplyDeleteClifton when I got in the car first thing this morning, the very first words that blared across my radio were "its the song of asian believers filled with God's holy fire, the song of every tounge, tribe and nation, a love song born of a grateful choir. It's ALL God's children singing GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUIA HE REIGNS!!!!!!!" First I couldn't help but think of the many times you've sang that song with utmost joy at the gathering, and second I couldn't help but think of what a new and fresh meaning that song might have for yall now. I'm grateful one of God's beautiful children (An Zhen) will get to hear her daddy sing about her very soon and that one day she will be filled with God's holy fire. Much love!!!!!!!!
