5 days to go

Well, we leave in 5 days. It's starting to sink in that we are about to get our baby. This is awesome and nerve wrecking all at the same time. The last few days have been challenging. First, we couldn't find a very important document earlier this week that we have to take to China, then we were informed of a new requirement today. i guess it's last minute jitters or something like that, but at this point it's easy to get uptight and wonder if we have everything ready. Well we ended up finding the document and we had already taken care of the new requirement, so it looks like everything is going pretty smooth. Please pray that we can keep our sanity and have everything ready when it's time to go. We appreciate all of you and the support you are giving us.

Also, we had a conference call with our adoption agency today and all the families that will be traveling with us. The founder of the adoption agency was on this call and said something that i would like to share with you. He said, "We didn't start this service to find babies for families, we started it to find families for babies." This was a big one for me. He said that these precious children would live there lives without much hope at all. They spend there early years in orphanages without much attention and they grow up without a family. He also said that the general population in China are very greatful that families are giving these children a chance for a better life. Well, i know one baby that will be loved and cared for. Her name is An Zhen Cornelius. She has stolen my heart.

  2. And I am sure she will steal all of our hearts real soon. I could not have picked a better family for An Zhen to become a part of. You both are great parents. Soon An Zhen will be nestled in her new "pink" room in her new home surrounded by tons of love. Man that sounds nice.

  3. I've been thinking of that moment at the airport. I can't wrap my mind around it. I just wonder what it will be like. AMAZING! I've been practicing "I Love You" in Chinese. I woke up this morning thinking about the first time I will say it to her. I love her more than she will ever know already. And I love y'all more than you will ever know. On pins and needles.........
