First Day in Beijing

All I can say is this trip is amazing. I thought it would be like Chinatown in New York or Epcot and the food like Ying Ming but its so much more! We have stepped into their way of life, their culture, and words can't describe this. Today we rested for the morning and started our day with an unbelievable buffet of fruits, vegetables, juices and pastries at one of the many restaurants inside the hotel. Then we walked to the local market. Awesome! They had vendors who sold everything you could imagine in one large building like Walmart, but little separate businesses. Everyone here rides bicycles and the children are either standing on a bicycle cart or riding on the back of one going down the streets with cars honking, a lot like Manhattan. I have not seen anyone overweight. I guess that's why.

We are about to meet our friend from Corinth, Tim Parker for dinner. In the morning we will meet our travel group and guide. We were the only couple who came a day early due to our flight.

The most impressive thing to me so far has been the people, especially in Japan. They are beautiful. The Japanese women at the airport were stunning. It's amazing to see God's creation in a different area of the world as the people bowed as you entered the plane. We are thankful for your prayers so far and we have in turn prayed for these sweet faces as we walk down the streets that a little of the God in us would reach them. This was truly a blessed day!

Love Yall!
